I'm not one to quickly give my opinions on topics. I usually like to take in all sides and make a well thought out, educated decision.
However, these two things bothered me from the second I saw/read them until now:
First: Eva Longoria Parker opened up a nightclub in Las Vegas called Eve. What I (think) I read from Us Weekly is that she hires midgets to dress up as Oompa Loompas. I just read that no, not the case. The Oompa Loompas were just hired for the party. Hiring midgets to paint their faces orange to go to a party as an accessory? twisted. (I know that's not ELP but AnnaLynn McCord was there)
Second: Understand that I know that no one hearts the Duggars. But I read the article about them in People and a Dr SoandSo says that have that many children in is irresponsible because they cannot give the financial and emotional support that each child needs. ! My ass.
a) the Duggars have ZERO DEBT. more than I can say.
b Those children will have more love and security than most. I'm sure Dr SoandSo wanted one boy and one girl and he probably shoved them out the door to Day Care at 6 weeks so he could provide a beach house AND seasons tickets to Six Flags AND and awesome house with a house cleaner that no one ever sees because no one is ever home.
So instead of all the criticism (because everyone is jealous that the Duggars got famous by having tons of kids and they didn't... although- how DID Andy Milanakos do it? you know, "I've got a pea on my head but don't call me a pea head."?) (And I do realize that I just criticized Eva and the Doc) why can't we all just say, "Jim Bob Duggar, you're a sweet talkin' machine." ??
So there. Glad I got that off my chest.
I have an odd fasination with the Duggars. I'm amazed by the organization of their household and the respect the children have for each other and their parents. I can't say that I agree with having that many children, but I do believe that it's no one business but theirs.
ReplyDeleteWow, I think this is the first post that successfully combined both oompa loompas and the Duggars!! Nice!!
ReplyDeletethat's so random to have oompa loompa there, me as the willy wonka uber fan talk here, lol. And the Duggars, oh well... I still can't say a word about them, except for... productive? lol.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you got it off your chest, haha.
I don't know if it's just late and I'm tired or what, but I'm just so confused! I don't understand why Eva wants little orange men at her party?
ReplyDeleteI just think the Duggars need a new hobby.
ReplyDeleteLoL. I don't even know who the duggars are!
ReplyDeletecan you imagine having no debt? aah a girl can dream. i need to do something to get my own show. i can promise it will not be having a million kids though...
ReplyDelete(yes, that is what i got stuck on out of all of this)
UGH, whats wrong with this world? Oh yeah, I forgot, since our replacement birthrate is only at like 1.2 children per family, I know it must be shocking that anyone would have more than the bare minimum. Makes me sooooooo friggin mad! When people ask me if I'm finished having kids, and they have done this after #1, 2,3 and now with #4, I just like to shock and awe and say, "Hecks no, I at least got another 15 years of fertility left, thats another 7 or 8 kids, right?" The Duggars can obviously financially support all of them and that woman seems to have the patience of a saint! And its not just for show because you can see it in how the kids act and interact with one another. I think thats awesome and theres a special place in heaven for people that are so unselfishly open to God's gift of life! I think people only complain because they feel guilty that they can barely that they can barely handle the 1 or 2 children that they have.
ReplyDeleteMeh. The Duggars. The way they operate is definitely not the way that I would ever choose for myself, but I don't dislike them. They seem to have an extremely loving family and to be honest, I'm shocked that none of their kids have had any problems until this last pregnancy. They seem like really genuine and sweet people and they make their own soap for chrissake. What's not to love?
ReplyDeleteAs far as the midget thing is concerned...I totally agree with you. And Anna Lynn McCord scares me.
I don't know what I think of Michelle Duggar. She seems to be sweet and patient, but I kind of wonder if she's maybe a little nuts. I feel really bad about the little baby. I hope she's ok.
ReplyDeleteI've been the NICU route, and I can't imagine getting scrutiny from the world during a time like that.
ReplyDeleteYes, I would never, ever make the choices the Duggars make, but, like you said, they seem happy and loved.
I am so mixed on the Duggars...I love some elements of them...but some things also scare me. I never miss their show. Which may make me totally lame...but oh well.
ReplyDeleteThe Duggars are incredibly amazing, in my opinion...NOTHING like those Gosselins, which thank goodness, we have not heard much of anymore. Oh yeah...she's going to be in Dancing with the Stars.
ReplyDeleteHa ha! I've got an image of Umpa Lumpa's living with the Duggars in my head! Oh dear. I think anyone who can handle that many kids has to be mildly insane - in a good way.
ReplyDeleteHave a fab week xoxo
For the life of me I do not understand how that woman's uterus has not fallen out.
ReplyDeleteYou are so funny! I agree that The Duggers are better off than most of us! And, I can't stop laughing at the midget pics! lol....I even gave you a special award on my page, check at The Doll House at www.the-doll-house.com
ReplyDeleteI can honestly say that I, Sarah Chew, Heart the crap out of those Duggars. Yes, they annoy me sometimes and yes, that may be because I'm secretly jealous of them. BUT they love those kids and support them, they are smart and can take care of themselves. I think the only thing that doctor should be worried about is the condition that Michelle Duggars Va-jay-jay is in....seriously...ew.
