Blogs, we have a problem

I opted out of the blog roll scene for ohsay one week.  No bien.  I thought it would be a good idea because then I wouldn't have to weed out the blogs that I don't read every day, and I wouldn't have to show everyone what I was reading or not.

Instead my head turned into a fuddled mess every time I came on the computer.  "now which blogs was I hoping to read, again?"

So we're back.  And my blog roll is growing and growing and I love it and I'm overwhelmed.  And I'm not even done adding blogs.

Anyone else overwhelmed by this?  In other words, so many blogs, so little time.

  1. I think we all just have to do the best that we can. Otherwise, there would be no time to sleep!

  2. I feel ya! I don't feel like there is enough time and I hate when I miss posts, it is like missing an important phone call or something :-)

  4. I totally feel you. It is so hard without the blog role. Google reader is great too!

  5. I use Reader to organize my blogs! They are into groups...Some of the labels are: FAVORITES, SHOWS ME LOVE, NEVER COMMENTS, YAAAWWWNNN, TOO MANY GIVEAWAYS...etc...that way I know where to go first. Usually I just read the people that commented on my blog post first. Then, my favorites, and so on and so on...

  8. Himself frequently complains about getting caught up on his blog reading. "But there are so many good ones!" He laments. I agree. I just can't make it another source of anxiety. I'm already stressed about not writing enough myself!

  9. I am completely overwhelmed. All the time. Why does there have to be so many awesome people out there that I want to read?

  10. I find myself overwhelmed trying to catch up with all the great blogs that are out there. There don't seem to be enough hours in the day, especially with a full-time job and trying to keep up with my own blog. But I do what I can and try to set aside a few hours every other day where I return to all of my favorites and see what I've missed. Might not be the best system but it's worked so far.

  13. I have this issue all the time - I have blogs that I try to visit as often as possible but my list keeps growing and it's hard to keep up. I've found that if I can set aside time on the weekend and just go through my blog list and catch up I feel better. Do I still miss out, yes. But I'm trying to make an effort to stop by all that stop by me and then some (because I love so many).

My other issue is trying to keep up with them all - some show up in my blogger list, others in email it gets difficult to keep up with it all.

  14. Sometimes I'm like, people please stop writing good blogs and give me a break already! I love reading and commenting but it takes a lot of time. I was spending way too much time in the evenings doing it so I had to slow it down, to!
